The Letter M

The lucrative mournful laments of the other letters luster and lurk behind this letter M post. It is almost maculated by the other letters machinations in their "danse macabre." This is the opportune time to sing a madrigal or act with magnanimity in a magisterial type of role; however, I much prefer the maelstrom of the magniloquent medley of melifluous melodies.

This post is really focused on the manifestations of malleable malapropism. This is a tempting treat for a marked advancement of this letter over the others. Though m may be rather mealymouthed in speech the medley is definitely not mediocre. "M" has a penchant for meandering and sometimes maverick ways. Therefore, "m" may be one of my favorites as I am not a mawkish or sentimental woman but rather a maverick.

Therefore, it would be best for us to not melee with this letter and rather than become a mendicant and have to ask for forgiveness; let's just stay away from the letter M as it has a somewhat malevolent and Machiavellian manner. For instance, "m" is magniloquent, yet often called a malefactor and malevolent malfeasance. I wouldn't go as far to say it is malicious however "m" easily maligns and apparently is manifested in words such as mendacious which are not things we want to encourage in our lives.

In conclusion, "m" is rarely used to mediate tension in my book but rather a master of mischief and we need to move on to "n' very soon in order to avoid the megalomania followed by the melancholy. It is not mischance or miscreant's forcing their miserly misery on us, but rather meretricious, mercurial mesmerizing mettle that swells up in our souls and exists alone as if in a microcosm and milieu of mystery.

The Letter L

Little needs to be said about the letter l except that there may be more latitude in our subject area. First of all there is going to be no lascivious or lustful discussion, however I may be slightly more lax in terms of keeping within the confines of modesty. Moreover, the largess of the letter l is something I am thankful for as I often languish in the languor of this letter. Especially when I sing Debussy's "C'est l'extase langourouse" What a luscious piece that truly is all text painting of the languor of love. C'est l'avie. I lived in Montreal and it was quite full of l'extase langourouse. The French culture is rather exciting and there is more lechery is some areas. However, for the most part Montreal is tres bien to live in. I learned the aria Juliette's Waltz by Gounod in Opera school at McGill. I studied with Karen Hunt who was an excellent lyric soprano and learned quite a bit as I did one full-time year of graduate music study. Lessons in diction for French, German and Italian from Dr. Evans were very helpful even now as I study at USF in my Master's in Voice performance with my superlative teacher Dr. Brad Diamond. He is not only an excellent singer and artist he is an intellectual figure that really has tremendous gifts.

Furthermore, I am hoping to laud his gifts in my study of the voice as I hope to write about his study in vocal pedagogy. He is truly the best voice teacher I have ever had and this is not lavish laud but well deserved praise for his merits. I am positive he will leave a legacy of scholarly research for the world to esteem him for his intellect and vocal pedagogy excellence.

Moreover, I don't want to appear as if I am lionizing him however sometimes it is important to list others accomplishments. Dr. Diamond is teaching me about my voice and he limns how I should sing quieter and more flexibly....perhaps the word is with a more lithe approach to singing versus hitting people over the head with sound.

I just log down all my vocal journeys and try to take note of new habits replacing the old.

It is so fun to learn again. I could just LOL with these lofty musings.

Good-bye letter L.
Looking forward to seeing you again someday.
That reminds me of the poems by Emily Dickenson. The song entitled "Bee, I'm Expecting You" will really lift you out of serious thoughts yet at times such distressing despair appears in her work.
Avoir.

Anyway, I have had

The Letter K

The knitting club at USF is very fun and unexpected at such an Institution filled with academia. I was really surprised when the head of the knitting club was actually able to teach me to knit. It is very relaxing, however I must warn you: it is terribly addictive. It is kindred to getting hooked on blogging or sometimes I view knitting as a killjoy for all my time that should be spent on academia and scholarship.

Similarly, you can knit together reading and knitting and even knotty and troublesome knaves are able to knit if taught very carefully. The kernel advantage of the knitting club is the useful activity as well as the interesting socialization every Friday between 12-4 in the Marshall Center.

In conclusion, it almost takes the knell of a bell or someone to stop by and show me their new Kindle to get my attention off the next knotty knitting project that I am working on. Finally, knitting kindles friendships and also creates kudos when you are able to wear your fancy knitting designer sweaters. Similarly, there aren't many knaves who knit therefore I really am enjoying the knitting club. Next week I am bringing my GRE word list to the knitting club where the ken will just keep on extending and extending.

Letter J

Just in time for the jaunty melody of J. Don't worry I won't use any jargon or jaded justifications about why we are the way we are? I will just take you on a jaunt of juicy jabber in a jocular way. This letter is really jovial and there is enough jubilation to encourage your soul. I am definitely not a jingoist and will not profess to purport that jibe; however I will use jurisprudence that I learned in my law class to juxtapose educational leadership writings mixed in with my Amazon store and the fun fashion finds I joke about.

Hence, the truth is there just isn't justification for this stop at this juncture on our junket. I never before in my life ever thought of a trip as a junket but you learn something new everyday. Especially if you visit me here at the Creative Muse. It is absolutely not a junta where there may be crushing juggernauts hitting you on the head. No, not here..Just the simple jocular jests of J on this jovial jocund jaunt; or if you prefer this jovial jocund junket.

Well have a jolly and jovial day!!

Letter I

I had an inveterate habit of invoking irascible people with irksome habits. The truth is I am really an introvert. Constantly introspective and intrinsically prone to insularity. There are some who say that insinuate that I may be insolent and pretentious; however the truth is I am trying to overcome insurmountable and insuperable innate qualities that give me a inhibiting fear and intrinsic shyness. This is really amazing to some people as they look at me and think I am an extrovert. However, I impute my dichotomous or truly mercurial nature as having formed from a coping mechanism to avoid being hurt by others with an impervious wall of will to protect my fragile artistic soul.

Therefore with this incognito defense of an extrovert actress; I have pulled out of my hat manyt different roles that would protect my inner sacred and secret self. Therefore at times the role may be incompatible and lacked incongruity with others views of me; however the important thing is that I know who I am.

Inclined always towards a inner feeling of impuissance I have learned over the years to believe in myself and to pursue an incessant search for truth and a self actualized existance purported by Maslow. Truly, I implore everyone to use this impetus of self-actualization as a goal for your life. It is imperative that idiosyncrasies of personality don't take us away from our true self. Often our true self may have idyllic fantasies that ignite a spark of hope that may lead us with an illusive quality that is imbued with impending doom. However, it is difficult to live a life of total immutable and impalpable goals of being "good." The self-examined life is the only life worth living. It is unfortunate that so many inane goals provide the pathway away from the journey towards self understanding. Fortunately, at some point in your life your inner self will implode into your consiousness and force you to face yourself with your souls implacable need to find truth. There are many who live lives of impiety and impropriety without ever feeling anything. They just keep on living life in the material realm as if God didn't exist.

I know that God does exist. I believe that everything else besides God should be inconsequential however this goal incidentally is impossible for the human being. Most of us are concerned with our material world and how we are going to make a living, pay our mortgage and buy incidental possessions that are inanimate and implicate us as focusing on the world.

It is true that sometimes life is just so frustrating that we become indulgent and even induce others to inequity in terms of our possessions. When you look at the people who have to live in foreign countries with not enough money for clothes, food or proper shelter, it is only then that we see our iniquitous and injurious incorribible materialism is actually selfish. I long to live a life of altruistic service to others, however as of yet I have not been able to do this. I love the work of Sergiovanni, who indites often regarding the great leader being a "servant leader"(Sergiovanni, 2007, p. 7) We must give up our own selfish interests and look towards others needs. Similarly, it is our job as instructional leaders to inculcate and work indefatigably to incorporate this "servant leader" stance into our otherwise ego-centric vision of ourselves.

I am sure you have an inkling of what I am referring to when I say that narcissistic traits are injurious to the soul and are just plain inimical and inhibit true growth of your soul and spirit. We are not infidels but rather we profess to "take up the cross of Jesus," yet often we want to take up that cross with diamonds and fashionable clothes. This of course, is an inflated position and many are infallible in their Christian lives. It is just shocking when Christians may profess a love of God and humanity yet seem indifferent to the indigence and indigent beings that may be sitting at the tube stop in London, England and just walk by them as if their poverty and lives of sorrow do not matter.

Fortunately, it was these very situations of observing poverty in London, England everyday while I lived there and everyday seeing the same poor souls starving and even sitting in puddles in the rain asking for money. It broke my heart and in many ways my spirit and that is when I gave up singing Opera. Opera really seems like such an indulgent profession. I felt sick as I travelled to lessons knowing that there were people whose inimitable sorrow could not be put out of my mind. Even the dogs on the street in Clapham Common were ignored and the inim ical and ingrained way that people just walked on by the indigent creatures tore at my heart.

It is ineffable how viewing such poverty incurs an incumbent obligation to put your thoughts on a more altruistic profession such as teaching. I did feel like I was travelling an inevitable and fighting an inexorable urge to live a life of altruism even though the my artistic soul kept crying for life as an Opera singer.

In conclusion it is only indissoluble mark that Christ has stamped on my soul that I could not be one of those people who just walked on by the poor. The inequity and indices of a sick society that allows its own people to starve and sit in puddles of rain water with their chilren. Often in London England, many people view the poor or starving as if they are insidious. I was often told not to help them as they would potentially harm me. Really? Yes even one of my family members said this to me that they could rob you if you give them money.
I am sorry but it is our duty as Christians to intervene in situations where another human being is suffering. You cannot just walk by starving people and think about yourself. It isn't right.

Furthermore, it is ironic that when you yourself lose your job or fortune that you expect others to save you. The hypocritical nature of the human being is at times the inverse of what so many philistines purport to live out in their daily existence. I invoke you to look inside and ask what would you do if you saw a mother and child sitting in a puddle of rainwater asking for money in London. Would you keep on going to your 60 pound coaching or singing lesson or would you stop and give a pound to allow the woman to feed her child.

I must leave the letter "i" with some irrefutable and irreconcilable ideas that seem to be intrinsic in human nature.
I pray that I stay irreproachable of these hideous crimes of selfishness that seem part of the core of humanity.

Avoir "I", I must talk to J.

Letter E
Letter E is a conversation between the soul and the self.pub-9085059174283698
Eccentricity is actually ecstasy and I edict that we should edify students in this quality, as you learn how to be eclectic in your personality as you discern what is appropriate for you.  I believe that those who act like carbon copies of others are really lost souls.  "Oh, Poor soul, wherefore art thou?"  Soul:  "Here I am buried deep, deep , deep under all my layers of pretentious pretending perfection."  Moi:  "Alas, a mes jeune, je le voix." Soul:  "Yes, exactement! I lost myself in pretending to be someone else." Moi:  "Je l'entends, je le voix. Chant.

Yes, a soul must sing  and show ebullient  thoughts.  These emboss an embroidery of sweet elegy on my heart. This helps to eddy  and rise up my spirit and if you are fortunate this will efface the bain existence of the average poor soul who clocks in and out with a time card. Qui, je comprend.  Many would disagree; however it is with economy of expression that I continue to explore the letter E; hoping for an eclipse in understanding leading to my enlightenment. Soul:   "Je veux vivre, dans le reve."  Moi" "Qui, moi aussi." (Juliet, Romeo et Juliette - Gounod)
"Oh, soul, let me engross myself and elicit more effusive effrontery and let me leave behind the effete and emancipate my soul to ellysian encomiastic elegy.    I embrace this eminent goal and even though elliptical please continue to elucidate and exude your elixir.   Your erudite expressions encipher the song of my soul as if I am enamored  by this enclave that encapsulates my inner thoughts.  Empathize with this emissary of enlightenment and emend my egotistical and narcissistic tendencies that enchroach and energize yet may enervate if over used.  Please endear yourself to me my soul as I carry the encumberance of the world and engender and engross my ennui with the mundane."
Soul:  Emulate those who encroach on eminent and innovative ideas.  Engross yourself and enhance these often enigmatic thoughts and turn away from doubting the efficacy of your path to enlightenment."
Moi: "Evoke in me and exalt your ethereal ethos and evince your euphony and eulogy.  The words of the average exacerbate and exasperate my spirit as they essay to entice me to their errant pathethic average existence."
Soul:  "You may not expiate for their existience but rather you are responsible to exonerate and exhort your spirit."
Moi: "That exculpates me from excorating exclaimations that would excise and execrate my sings, however withe xegesis I see the exigency  and want to continually pursue with exiguous acts extol in an extemporaneous way which will urgo others to extirpate their truth and extort their mediocrity by extruding it and exuding it as I exult over them."
Soul:  "Ah, Though this exposutulations extenuates their view, however be true to thyself dear one, to thyself be true."
Adieu E.  "Ah souvenir trop dous, image trop cruelle, hela ames jenous j'lentends je le voix.  Helas, a mes genous, je le voix.  Je le voix, je l'entends........."
"Adieu."
Soul:  "You are enterprising and enumerate erudite qualities that others may try to erode and equivocate their pursuit of mediocrity and their ethos of

The letter Fhttp://patrice-rasmussens-motivational-tools.amazonwebstore.com/pub-9085059174283698
Flitting aimlessly and  horribly as if I was travelling through flow.  The environment was not one in which I could flourish in and without flouting convention I once again pronounced my flamboyant and fervent faze.  It seems to be a talent for many to keep their faze to themselves and appear as if their souls have found happiness; unfortunately, I strive for a higher level of truth and need to out the frailty and faults that are the undercurrents of rhetoric that is full of fallacies. The facade in which many hide behind when studied in detail remains but an extrinsic coat that is worn to exempt the individual from independent thought.  This facile  facade is fabricated of facsimiles that often are coupled with factious groups that have fallacious and fallible ways.  This figurative coat they wear to feint and feign a fecundity in their existence is actually the sign of a soul who has lived a life of limited introspection.  This individual is like drifting flotsam and fluctuate like a ship in the wind that often proves their fledgling and feckless nature.  This character is not a figment of my imaginiation but rather the average fatuous human.  This may not seem felicitous expression for many or rather perhaps some would view this description as a fell blow at the average individual.  The individual and the essential nature of the human being is not my point of contention but rather the farce that is fatuous and often  accompanies by lives that are lived in fraudulent intentions.  Following as William Ernest Henley states in his poem "Invictus" ....."the menace of the years" (Henley, 1875), the discerning individual is more forthright and proceeds in their life to live directed by a spirit filled with  fortitude.  Fulminating others existence wasn't my intention in the letter F, however my at time fractious  nature fosters  this funereal and futile foray into the philosophy of the lost.
Consequently, this position leaves the soul forlorn and foments negative thoughts and feelings which is completely contrary to my intentions as a Christian and my mission to "live as Jesus would."  Therefore, once again I repent of this frantic and fractious verbal fracas and once again rest on the fulcrum of the foundation of the Bible as the better way to view the faults and foibles of all mankind.  The topic of fallacies is something that is truly an art.  Many may obscure a situation  in order to lead others astray; however I see it as my mission in life to point out their fallacies which may be inductive fallacies.  These inductive fallies are quite commom in weak arguments or poorly written rhethoric, however one may learn to discern a  inductive fallace from observing the frigidity of the atmosphere which permeates the environment where fake people exist.

Forgive me F as I lift my soul to focus on not the foible of humanity but rather the great glory that awaits us as we turn to our next letter G.

Patrice Rasmussen, M.Ed.

Reflections on "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley 1875

pub-9085059174283698

Today I reflect on the poem "Invictus."  I am memorizing it for recitation at USF on Wed. morning.  It is really riveting work to memorize verse, however it is hart to do.
I have decided as I recite "Invictus" on A as if I were chanting; I then will relax and write down the verse at the same time.  This doubles up the time of memory work and it is Oh so fun.
Well...time to study APA style and write some serious articles.

Try reciting this poem today and record yourself on video.

I have helped dozens of singers get their voices back and re-train their voices with a healthy technique. First, make sure that the voice teacher that you have is positive!!

Do not believe a teacher that tells you that "putting you down" is helping your voice. Did you know that most of what you do with your voice is physical ? This complex use of the vocal instruments is similar to strenuous physical exercise and I am sure you have not seen a lot of coaches putting their athletes down andd giving them depressing talks about how few jobs there are in football. Think about it!! Athletes have a very similar aspiration and they compete for a very few favored spots. The people who become famous and win places on great teams have been coached by world class coaches that speech motivational messages to keep them revved up and to keep their eye on the ball. Check out"The Inner Game of Tennis here. This is a great book to check out which will help you get an idea about how to be successful from the way that you think. You have heard the saying: "Your thoughts become things", well that is true. In the Bible it says, "As a man thinketh so is he." It is very important that we monitor our thoughts but also input them into our minds in a certain way. I will be helping all with this difficult task for a singer with my new book to be released next year entitled: "The Inner Game of Classical Singing" by Patrice Rasmussen. This book discusses the games that people play in the business of performing and the way you need to think in order to get ahead and be in control of your voice.

Voices Destroyed Daily by Supposed Specialist Voice

Has your voice been severely damaged by one of the charlatan voice speciliasts out there today!!!! Don't worry you are not alone. It has amazed me that I have lived in Canada, England and here in the United States and the plethoral of voice charlatans that charge you a fortune and leave you with a damaged voice. Don't worry, I have saved several dozen singers from this dilemma and I am here to help you re-claim your vocal instrument and your life after Opera teachers at Universities have destroyed your confidence and damaged your instrument.

First sign: Singing should feel healthy and be an extension of your personality. You shouldn't sound like a carbon copy of your teacher.

Next sign of damage: The teacher keeps telling you to improve your breathing technique, but the breathing technique teaching has never existed.

Well, I am not going to lie to you. My voice was damaged in 1995 and it has been over 10 years of hard work to begin the restoration of body and soul that must be made after a voice teacher damages and pushes.

3 Singing Truth Tips a Day by Patrice Rasmussen Soprano and Education Leader M.Ed.

pub-9085059174283698Tip: 1 Singing Helpers. Think of singing as if you were holding a platter in front of you. The staccato notes you will sing in an ascending arpeggio will land on the platter which is outside in front of your singing mask! The platters will align in front of you farther and farther in front of you as you sing higher. Remember think of the apple to keep your top jaw in front.

Truth Tip: If you singing teacher does not practice singing each day then they do not sing well!

Singing Fact: If your singing teacher doesn't motivate you then don't pay them each week.

Singing Tip: Teach thyself! If your singing teacher doesn't have a pleasant sound then either will you!!!! If your voice is prettier than your teacher's then don't expect them to help you.Help yourself by having a motivating singing coach with an excellent ear as you collaborate to coach you on to sing and sound bewtter and better each day. Singing is essentially teaching yourself, however you do need good advice, sound pedagodgy and excellent ears!

Let Go of the Fear and Challenge Yourself Instead!!

Lesson 1: Increase your vocabulary!!!!
pub-9085059174283698
This will guarantee your success. When I took the FELE and passed the first time; I used a study guide for two days and passed.

Similarly, I used study guides to pass the CLAST, the education tests and the music K-12 test. Therefore, after passing the FELE I knew that these stuy guides were and are the key for your success.

Similarly, you need a personal success coach like myself to give you courage and motivation to keep on track for your personal success goals. There are a lot of people in this world, even your friends and family who may actually pull you down and not hlep you achieve your goals. Most of my life even my teachers have been jealous of me and try to tear you down.

My first most positive step. If you have a teacher then they should be encouraging and motivating you. If your teacher is blaming you and you are not able to produce the results then it is due to their lack of credentials. My recent experience has been that people who are not qualified will pull you down and try to build their power. They will actually "throw you under a bus" to get a head. Guess what? Get away from these people fast. Even if they are famous or have great names if they are telling you that do not have what it takes then take it from me they are the ones that do not have what it takes. A real leader who is worth their salt whould have enough confidence to build and empower you and strengthen you. If they are telling you the business of singing is too difficult or they are saying: "there is too much disappointment or competition" then immedidately get away from them.

Like attracts like and you need to surround yourself with positive people. If this means that you need to pay someone once a week $20 to give you enough courage to find your dreams isn't this worth the price of finding a way for your life that will give you happiness.

Why are you settling for poeple who put you down and lift themselves up? Start looking around you.

Ask yourself the question...who radiates joy, confidence, happiness. If you so-called 'expert' looks like they are lost or that they are enshrouded by a negative cloud then perhaps you should not believe them when they tell you what is wrong with you.

Try this: 1. Get yourself a personal success coach who actually is successful and radiates that success by their words.

2. Look closer at the energy.

3. What do you feel.

Now step 1: Start with the Bible every day. God is your source. He is your way. You actually don't need anyone else but Him. If your success coach is not pointing you towar perfection in Christ then leave them as they don't have the mind of Christ.

"I call to God, the Most High, to God , who supplies my every need. He will answer from heaven and save me; he will defeat my oppressors.

God will show me his constnat love and faithfulness. I am surrounded by enemies, who are like man-eating lions. Their teeth are like spears and arrows; their tongues are like sharp swords."Show your greatness in the sky, O God, and your glory over all the earth. My enemiess have spread a net to catch me; I am overcome with distress. They dug a pit in my path, but fell into it themselves."

This last line of the Psalm pretty much tells all doesn't it?

Now read on: "I have complted confidence, ----this means I will not doubt at all. This also means don't look at the obstacles or how far you have to climb up the mountain, but rather have faith in God and trust Him to get you where you nee to go. Look not on the poeple but look to God. He alone is your way and He alone will provide your way. There is no obstacle or problem too big for God my friend. Though these evil people may be jealous of you and try to pull you down it is because they are afraid of you. and your success.

I just graduated with my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from USF with a 4.0 average. There was a time when the people who surrouded me tried to pull me down and I lost hope and didn't believe. Then I remembered that I was a child of God andd He lifted me up. He put people in my path that helped me find my way. You will know who these people are my friend because they do not wear the clothes of a wolf. If you cannot tell whether someone is a Christian then maybe they are not!!!!

Perhaps, as in my experience you are dealing with a Pastor or the church. Yes, it is disappointing but these people may also be very lost. You need to look to the Lord. I found a new church where the Father is Christian and you know He is a true voice for Jesus when he speaks words that draw others to behav e better and more like Chritians. Why are you staying around a church that encourages negativity and gossip. Did you know that some of these teachers actually teach your children and they don't even like children. Yes, it is true. You need to look closer as this is your life and these are your children.

My message is this: There are a lot of professed Christians and teachers in schools who are not what they appear to be. If their words are harsh then that is not of God. If their words are negative then that also is not of God. If their talk is always pulling others down and negative remarks then you know my friend that is not of God.

Psalm 57 encourages us as follows: "Wake up, my soul! Wake up, my harp and lyre! I will wake up the sun. I will thank you, O Lord, among the nations. I will praise you amon the peoples. Your constant love reaches the heavens; your faithfulness touches the skies. Psalm 57.

Today, friends there is a God who know your every need. He can save you from the snare of the fowler and He can give you your greatest desires. Look no farther as He is right where you are. If you feel that you cannot overcome the obstacles in your life then ask Him to save you. If you ask and believe with your heart you will be satisfied.

Search for Christ and you will find Him today!

"I always thought it was sad that mothers seem to give their child the life that they didn't have instead of going ahead and accepting the challenge of self actualization.

Creative Muse to set yourself free at forty. Sign up for recital after 20 lessons.

I was born and raised and Canada in the town of Windsor , Ontario.pub-9085059174283698 It was a small town, but it has all the elements that haelp it produce a good economy and most of the jobs that people rely on were from the Auto and car companies such as Ford. My father worked in The States at General Motors so we lived close enough to the border that he could travel back and forth each day and earn American dollars which translated nicely into a hefty bit more money in Canadian currency.

I started my singing career in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and will always hold it dear to my heart even though it was a rough beginning. I started singing with my mother as my teacher. She has a wonderful voice and often even in my later days if I was tired or not up to it in some way I would have my mother sing from Messiah and get paid for me. She of course, the good and kind mother sang for me and gave me the money.

The University of Windsor, School of Music was something I encountered as a piano student at eight years old I would be off and taking my first piano exams for theory and playing piano. I remember it was soo cold that my piano instructor advised me to wear gloves the entire way on the bus to the exam so that my fingers would be in good shape for the exam.. As an eight year old this was pretty exciting as well as going to the States and entering a competition for piano and getting a First. Lessons for singing began with my mother as we practiced staccato notes, and arpeggios. Her familiarity with operatic repertoire was extensive as she studied inwith a Professor from The Unviersity of Michigan and iall her life had studies in Scotland. Singing was easy for her and this was hard for me to bear. She would just say do this and it was so easy for her

I am our Creative Muse

Welcome to http://patricerasmussen.exploretalent.com/ This is where you can get encouraged and motivated to get out of the choir and get your first solo......just kidding!!!! Choir's our amazing check this one out.......http://www.goodshepherdnews.com/. Did you know that if you study singing with someone with an excellent voice then your voice will most likely start to sound like theirs! Yes, it is true..............

The main focus you need as a singer is persistence, confidence and courage. You need to be able to ping your voice across that concert hall and not care what anyone thinks of you!!! Well.....first check with you voice coach and make sure it is a sound you want everyone to hear.

Well in Winter Haven my husband Keith Rasmussen will be conducting Messiah in December and just guess who is singing the soprano solo?

Did you know that if you are too shy to have a voice lesson in person you can call me and I will teach you over Skyppe. Wow...technology is sooo cool but that is why I spend at least 6-8 hours a night on this computer.

When I coached with Stephen Wilder, Opera Repitateur http://www.dhrupad.info/links.htm and walked on the stage of Covent Garden Opera House I was surprised that it isn't as big as I thought it would be. Stephen Wilder was very friendly despite his world wide reputation. He let me practice in his studio and encouraged me to go to Germany to begin an Opera career. How many singers need to do that? Yes too many!! Anyway, it was probably the most memorable day of my life when he told me that I had a voice that was rare with both lyric and colloraturra ability. It was at this point in history when I decided that since this was such a great encouraging moment that I should stop singing and went into teaching. What a mistake.....no....not really......................just ten years of my life.

Fortunately, I have a new teacher and encourager now and her name is Stella Zambolis who has the most beautiful voice. Check her out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8f9-ybQNDY

and to be able to have had training at http://www.roehampton.ac.uk/ where I received world class educational training. I feel so fortunate to have been able to live in London, England. My first home in Clapham Common was just a few tube stops away from

Yes, that is right and do you know that days when I had no money I literally put my hat down and I would sing for pounds. It was tremendous fun!!! Seriously, I would do it again. People would throw money into my hat and tell me "you should be singing at the Opera house." Oh well...it wasn't the Opera House but it helped pay for my coaching with Stephen Wilder at Covent Garden House House. You NEED to read about this story because this is just plain rediculous.

Kindergarten High Frequency Word List extends to GRE high-frequency word list

It is interesting how we get older and wiser yet never away from high-frequency word lists. When I taught Kindergarten there was a high-frequency word list that every child needed to know.  If you reviewed it with your child they would have an excellent chance of passing.  Well, the GRE high-frequence word list is similar to that but requires a higher level of synthesis and evaluation in your use of words.  Bloom's taxonomy will help you understand that just knowing the definition won't get you the highest score on the Graduate exam.  You must be able to play with words and to be use them with dexterity.

Let's continue our study of the letter A and B.  Instead of using your Guide to the GRE study guide; which will be necessary!!!! You must supplement your study equip yourself with a toolkit.
